Dar es Salaam. The University of Dar es Salaam community yesterday paid tribute to their Chancellor, Ambassador Fulgence Kazaura, who died on Saturday in India after losing the battle to throat cancer. He added that under the leadership of Ambassador Kazaura, the university made notable achievements in the areas of resource mobilisation and improvement of the physical structure.

Doctor Vicencia Shule who spoke on behalf of the other lecturers noted the deceased will be remembered for his crusade for quality of the output and gender balance at the institution. Dr Shule said that the late served the institution with integrity, commitment, insight, dignity, devotion and fairness. During the tributes, the VC said the senate will honour Ambassador Kazaura with a posthumous honorary doctorate.
